The way that your piece represented Modernism was very different than the method used in the short story that I read. In the poem that you read the author seemed to focus on the aspect of Modernism that explains how the world is how we perceive it. In my story, the author focused on the aspect of Modernism that explains how the unconscious mind is in control of your body even if you don't know what's happening. What jumped out at me in your poem was that she was the only one that noticed the slippers. This makes it really obvious that Modernism was shown. Because the author shows that the girl was independently focused on the red slippers.
I like that your poem included a lot of descriptive wording. My short story was not void of detail, but did not go as in depth as your poem did. I really hung on to the fact that you said the girl was the only one on the street that noticed those slippers in the store window.
Good job giving many characteristics and descriptions of modernism. Your slideshow was not extensively long, but adequately portrayed the characteristics of modernism that the poem represented. Also,you depicted quite well how the poem showed how everyone views things differently, which is a characteristic of modernism.
